TSE Industries Earns USDA Certified Biobased Product Certification and Label
Clearwater, Florida, USA (PRWEB) July 02, 2014 -- TSE Industries, Inc. has earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label for six of its products. The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label verifies that the product's amount of renewable biobased ingredients meets or exceeds levels set by USDA. Biobased products are finished or intermediate materials composed in whole or in significant part of agricultural, forestry, or marine ingredients.
The products earning the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label include TSE-EcoSpray® Bio, a biobased, polyurethane spray layup resin for use in reinforcing consumer and industrial fiberglass composite structures, such as baths, hot tub spas, boat building, motor vehicle parts, construction and many other applications, as well as TSE EcoSpray® Bio Foam, a biobased, rigid polyurethane spray-applied foam system used to insulate and fill voids in similar applications. All TSE-EcoSpray resins and foams are VOC and BPA-free and can be used with fiberglass chop. They offer a drop-in solution that can replace styrene polyester in many applications.
"Earning the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label is in perfect alignment with our approach to corporate sustainability," says Richard “Rick” Klingel, President and Director of TSE Industries. "Our vision of growth is not merely a financial bottom line, but a combination of the economic, social and environmental influence TSE possesses. It's what we like to call the 'Triple Bottom Line'."
All biobased amount claims are verified by independent labs and monitored by the USDA. Consumers may feel secure in the accuracy of the biobased amount and be empowered in making better informed purchasing decisions.
"We are proud that TSE Industries, Inc. has earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label," said Ron Buckhalt, USDA BioPreferred Program Manager. "Biobased products add value to renewable agriculture commodities, create jobs in rural communities and help our nation decrease its reliance on foreign-sourcedand non-renewable petroleum."
The label is estimated to be on certified products and available for consumers by late Summer 2014.
