Nurtur Online Health Risk Assessment Honored in the 2014 Winter/Spring Web Health Awards (SM) Competition
Farmington, CT (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Nurtur, the health and wellness company serving employers, health plans and government programs, received a Silver Award in the 16th Annual Web Health Awards (SM) program for its online health risk assessment (HRA) as a web-based resource/tool for consumers. Presented by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) in recognition of high-quality digital health resources for healthcare professionals and consumers, entries are judged based on content, format, success in reaching the targeted health audience and overall quality.
Developed in exclusive partnership with Duke University faculty, the Nurtur Online HRA is a portal to better health. It is designed to be easy, engaging and enlightening for members while providing actionable aggregate reports and metrics to health plan clients. It features branching logic that offers members a relevant experience while reducing overall completion time. Illustrative and interactive elements guide members along a “wellness roadmap” to create personalized wellness plans based on their individual readiness to change.
After completing the assessment, the HRA generates comprehensive customized health reports based on validated data collection tools. Reports include six actionable sections that members can print out, save and share with healthcare professionals:
1. Personal health summary
2. Biometric screening results
3. Health behavior responses
4. Emotional health results
5. Readiness to change responses
6. Learn more resources
“Nurtur is proud to receive this recognition from Web Health Awards,” said Jennifer Funaro, Director, Product Development at Nurtur. “Understanding complex information does not start and stop with a member. As a behavior change organization, our role is to ensure that our members not only understand health information, but can act on it. Incorporating health literacy practices into the design and development of our HRA tool ensures the information is both relevant and actionable to support our members on their journey to better health.”
The National Health Information Awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. The Web Health Awards competition is held twice yearly and features 47 entry categories, including blog, e-newsletter, mobile application, mobile website, social media, video, and website. A panel of experts in digital health media served as judges and selected gold, silver, bronze, and merit winners from more than 300 entries.
