Rounds announced today that Rounds Live, its multiuser live video chat web overlay, is now open to any video content creator, from bands with millions of followers to "YouTubers" with small, but loyal fanbase. Using Rounds Live, content creators can both connect with, and bring fans together, around their content, strengthening their follower base and extending the narrative of the content.
Rounds Live brings to life any online content by adding a transparent layer of HD video chat and text chat functionality. After launching to the public last month, Rounds has already done multiple collaborations with known name artists and will be hosting live video chat events with artists and their fans around the world during live concerts, back stage parties and onboard their tour buses, giving fans the feeling of being "right-there" with the artists as well as offering them the chance to interact one-on-one with their favorite performers. Artists, and YouTubers can use Rounds Live to host events on their websites, YouTube channels, Tumblr and Instagram accounts, Facebook Fan Pages and even their Twitter streams.
In addition to concerts, Rounds Live can work across any web-based content, including movies, sporting events, blogs, online articles, reality shows or debates. In addition to artists and content creators, Rounds is working with a variety of partners in the sports, reality, music, talent and gaming verticals, and has even heard from many World Cup fans, who are using Rounds Live to watch the live football games together with their friends.
"Since launching Rounds Live last month, we have received great demand from content creators - big and small – to work on incorporating Rounds Live into the videos they are creating," said Dany Fishel, Co-Founder and CEO of Rounds. "The content partners who have already used Rounds Live, have seen a significant jump in both the number of fans they can reach as well as in the quality of the dialogue with those fans."
