Edmonds School District Receives 9 SAGE Energy Efficient Modular Classrooms from Pacific Mobile Structures
Chehalis, Washington (PRWEB) July 02, 2014 -- Pacific Mobile Structures, a leader in modular building solutions, has announced the upcoming installation of nine high efficiency SAGE modular classrooms at five Edmonds elementary schools in July of this year.
In keeping with the high standards it has set for quality student learning spaces, Edmonds also invested in many upgrades to its new SAGE units. Steel floors, advanced light fixtures and Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) systems that maximize fresh air circulation are a few of the added features that will increase durability and stimulate learning.
Each 28x32’ SAGE classroom will take about three days to install and will be ready for students well before the start of the 2014-15 school year.
“These are some of the first public schools in the state of Washington to go green with their modular classrooms,” said Patrick Allen, the Account Executive on the project. “This initiative shows that Edmonds is a district that is committed to providing healthy classroom environments for its students.”
SAGE classrooms, which are 40 to 50% more efficient than a standard portable, were honored with a SEED (Social Economic Environmental Design) Award in 2013. More information about Pacific Mobile’s innovative SAGE classrooms is available at http://www.sageclassroom.com.
