With Over 1,000 Articles on Nursing and Healthcare Topics, the Nursing Show Will Be Airing Its 300th Episode
Rising Sun, MD (PRWEB) July 02, 2014 -- The Nursing Show is pleased and proud to announce the upcoming podcast that will celebrate the Milestone of its 300th episode. The Nursing Show is an educational and informational center where members of the medical community can learn about new ideas, techniques, technology and strategies in their field.
The Nursing Show is hosted by Jamie Davis, RN, EMT-P, B.A., A.S., a nationally recognized medical educator who began educating new emergency responders as a training officer for his local EMS program. As a media producer, he has been recognized for the MedicCast Podcast, a weekly program for emergency medical providers like EMTs and paramedics, and the Nursing Show, a similar program for nurses and nursing students. His programs and resources have been downloaded over 4 million times by listeners and viewers.
For those in nursing school the program has episodes that touch on subjects like Medication Safety Tips for Nurses, Ways to Prepare for Student Exams and Finals, and the Student Nurses’ Guide to Nursing Assessment. Seasoned nurses and emergency medical staff will discover riveting podcasts regarding nurse care managers improving patient care, sepsis being responsible for half of hospital deaths, and preventing one million heart attacks.
When asked about the achievement of airing the 300th episode, host Jamie Davis said, “I am most excited about continuing beyond episode 300 and go on bringing nurses and nursing students the best in health care news and information. I especially love hearing from those students who tell me that my show helped them pass nursing school."
Every podcast is full of information that is valuable to students as well as the professionals. Episode 300 included information from Julie Stanik-Hutt on Nurse Practitioner autonomy and the progress state nursing boards are making amending archaic laws around the country. The episode was recorded in the national NTI 2014 conference that was held in Denver, CO in May of this year.
There is also an A to Z index of medical terms and illnesses that nurses and students can access. As an example Episode 170 covers antidepressants, Episode 82 talks about fish poisoning and Episode 119 deals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
