Steven Ditto and Dr. Robert Wagner to Lead in These Roles

Schumacher Group (SG) is pleased to welcome the company’s first Chief Business Development Officer, Steven Ditto, and Dr. Robert Wagner as the company’s Chief Medical Information Officer.

Ditto joins SG from Accenture in Austin, TX, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Dr. Wagner has been with Schumacher Group since 2011 as President of Care Management, and has developed a talented team of physician advisors and case managers, building SG Care Management into an industry-leading service line.

Ditto brings over 30 years of experience as a general management and business development leader in the healthcare, financial and technology industries. Aside from his tenure as Managing Director for the Health and Public Sector practice of Accenture, Steve’s vast experience includes roles as Global Sales Leader for Business Process Outsourcing with Hewlett-Packard; Managing Principal for healthcare with Everest Group; and VP of First Consulting Group where he worked extensively with hospitals and health systems.

“Steve’s proven talent to lead strategic processes for successful client growth makes him an incredible asset for our team,” stated SG Chief Operations Officer Lee White. “In the post-health care reform marketplace, there’s no doubt that Steve’s approach will have a dramatic impact on growing our business.”

Ditto is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and completed executive training at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Dr. Wagner’s role of Chief Medical Information Officer will ensure that providers, operations personnel and support departments of SG have appropriate access to high level clinical expertise and advisement, so that each service line can achieve clinical, operational, and financial objectives.

“Dr. Wagner has been selected as CMIO not only because of this experience, but also because of his expertise in integrating clinical medicine with systems that produce excellent outcomes for patients, and an efficient experience for providers,” stated Rich D’Amaro, SG CEO. “He is also keenly aware of issues affecting our industry, and will assist SG in creating innovative solutions accordingly.”

In his role as CMIO, Dr. Wagner will work horizontally across the organization as a physician resource to IT, Coding, Revenue Cycle, Compliance, Risk Management, Informatics, and Care Management.
