ACHC Receives Annual Approval for ISO-Quality Management System

ACHC hosted its annual ISO Quality Management System audit on Thursday, June 12, 2014. A Quality Management System (QMS) is a set of policies, processes, and procedures used to accomplish ACHC’s core business. The audit examined the management system, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and business practices currently in place at ACHC. The purpose of implementing a QMS is to control, measure, and improve processes in order to enhance business performance throughout the entire organization.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) began in 1946 with the intention of creating processes that would facilitate communication and coordinate seamless industrial standards throughout the world. Today, ISO provides world-class specifications for products, services, and good practices, to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. ISO is widely recognized among a variety of industries ranging from technology, food safety, agriculture, and healthcare, and has published more than 19,500 International Standards in 162 countries around the world.

The audit is also a relevant experience that enables our staff to better appreciate what we do on a daily basis for our providers.”

ACHC is pleased to announce there were no findings noted by the site assessor. In addition, the audit report included two noteworthy efforts regarding ACHC corporate milestones that were achieved. “Our Quality Management System is key to performing daily tasks efficiently and effectively. ACHC is proud of the continuous improvements we have made to our Quality Management System, and will continue to focus on improvement initiatives in the year to come,” said Barb. ACHC was the first accreditation organization to have their Quality Management System ISO-certified, and has maintained certification since 2004.
