Luken Announces All-New Original Scripted Series On TUFF TV
Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) July 01, 2014 -- As we approach the celebration of America’s Independence, Luken Communications, LLC and TUFF TV, LLC, in cooperation with One Eighty Films (OEF) and X Factor Entertainment Group (XFEG), are proud to announce the production of an original scripted television series, Combat Report. The WWII action-drama series will premiere on TUFF TV this fall in time for Veteran’s Day.
“Production began on June 6th, exactly 70 years to the day after D-Day,” said Terri Coyle, Luken’s Director of Programming. “We’re excited to partner with One Eighty Films who have demonstrated a unique knowledge of combat history and how to bring it to the screen. Combat Report is a reminder to all of us of the sacrifices that were made by so many Americans.”
Combat Report is a WWII action-drama that follows an elite team of GIs as they fight their way across France in pursuit of a ruthless enemy. It stars an ensemble cast led by Bob McKeehen (Grimm, Leverage), Grant Alan (Wizards of Waverly Place, CSI:NY, Lie To Me), Brad Schmidt (House of Lies, Joey, Summerland) and Joshua St. James (Grimm, Leverage, SEAL Patrol).
Combat Report has been developed and produced by One Eighty Films, who also released the underground hit WWII drama, Everyman's War (2010). Everyman's War won the coveted G.I. Film Festival “Best Narrative Film” award and has been distributed in 43 countries and translated into 5 languages.
Combat Report is the story of a group of soldiers that were called upon to perform special operations before there were groups like the Green Berets and Navy SEALs that we know today. "We knew we’d need more than a two-hour movie to tell their stories," says Thad Smith, Director/Creator/EP of Combat Report and Everyman's War. “As history buffs, we are committed to authenticity and detail and we are grateful to Luken Communications and TUFF TV for the opportunity to honor our veterans by bringing Combat Report to the masses.”
