The ‘My Inner Voice’ app has been specifically designed for people with mental and emotional issues that have made their lives increasingly difficult. Problems such as social phobias, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, depression and excessive daily stress are debilitating and can negatively affect people's lives in a very significant way. ‘My Inner Voice’ app is a powerful tool. It is designed to aid the process of transformation by helping people harness their positive ‘Inner Voice’ and tap into their own personal power to free themselves from their self-imposed constraints to become happier and more fulfilled. When production ends on this project, the app will be offered for free to anyone who needs it.
Zaid Ahmed, creator of the app, is an experienced NLP practitioner, therapist and personal coach. Together with his team, he has more than 10 years' experience dealing with individuals suffering from a range of issues. Ahmed says, “Over the years, our extensive experience has shown us that people needing our help have been influenced by a negative ‘inner voice’ that controls their feelings. Negative thoughts can lead to negative behaviours and is one of the main reasons why so many people are unable to cope with these mental health pressures.”
Ahmed came up with the idea to put all their experiences into a user-friendly app for everyone to use for free. The team used their knowledge in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Therapy (RET) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help reprogram the way people think about and perceive their problems. Used regularly, the app will seamlessly change the negative ‘inner voice’ that people suffering from mental pressures often deal with. It will help them to replace these conscious and unconscious negative thoughts with positive self-perceptions, thereby reducing or eliminating the harmful constraining hold it has on them. This will in turn help to build their confidence and self esteem and enable them to become more fulfilled.
The team was driven to make this app available to as many people as possible. Ahmed says, “In our experience there are so many problems which can be dealt with individually and at no cost. We realised how something so simple could help so many people change their lives so significantly for the better.”
The group's goal is simple; to attempt to change the lives of people suffering from low self esteem and related mental illnesses for the better. They are currently looking to raise £60,000 in order to continue funding and finish production of this app. “This money is necessary to employ the designers and developers to produce this app as well as the costs associated with bringing it to market,” says Ahmed. They will also be providing various perks to contributors.
