Eric Bahme to Join Building God's Way Team As Director of BGW Sustainable Solutions
(PRWEB) July 08, 2014 -- Building God's Way (BGW) announced this week that it has established a partnership with Eric Bahme, a cutting-edge entrepreneur, passionate preacher and author of the book, The MBE (Mission-Based Entrepreneur) Revolution. Eric has spent the last 12 years of his life infusing his love for the Lord into his passion for developing economic engines that drive mission-based movements. As the Director of BGW's newest division, called BGW Sustainable Solutions, Eric will leverage his ministry and business experience to help churches and other non-profits find sustainable solutions for long-term growth.
After 14 years as Senior Pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship in Seattle, Eric founded Eastside Church in Portland, Oregon in 2002, and gave birth to a new entrepreneurial model of ministry. The church purchased a large hotel campus with a vision for mission-based entrepreneurialism, which combines solid business practices with the mission of the church. The congregation grew to more than 700 attendees in three years and later planted six campus churches and witnessed more than 3,500 first-time commitments to Christ. The story of Eastside Church has been featured on the 700 Club, the Harvest Show, and in several local and national publications and television broadcasts.
During this time, Eric also became a managing partner in one of the top 100 hospitality management companies in the United States, successfully initiating and expanding the company's management contract business and ownership. In addition, Eric held a partner position in Genesis Hotels LLC, a collection of franchised hotels throughout the Northwest. One of Eric’s latest projects is a mission-based hotel in Kalispell, Montana called the Best Western Flathead Lake Inn and Suites, a non-profit center that exists to raise funds for ministry and community needs.
BGW Founder Dan Cook commented on the new partnership, "We feel blessed to have Eric join our team. He has an incredible track record of integrating for-profit business to expand ministry outreach. His vision for the 21st century church aligns perfectly with ours and we are excited to share these new ideas with ministries nationwide".
Eric serves on the board and as teaching pastor at Anthem Church in Portland, Oregon. He is also the founder and president of KingdomPoint International, a national non-profit organization created to network and empower other ministries through a mission-based entrepreneurial movement. In addition, he has served integral roles at Nehemiah Project International Ministries, a business development organization that provides biblically-based entrepreneurial courses globally.
Eric will be speaking at a series of BGW seminars this fall called The Momentum Summit. He will join a panel of speakers that includes Christian architects, contractors and pastor coaches in the areas of church health, growth and funding.
