Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) July 03, 2014
Serving in the U.S. Armed Forces takes a commitment that goes above and beyond a call to duty. Presented by Steinhafels, beginning July 4, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, JSOnline.com, and WTMJ-620AM will launch the Wisconsin Honor Roll, a 20-week feature that will showcase the bravery and sacrifice of the Badger’s State’s best.
Readers may nominate a friend or family member who served or may self-nominate. Submissions will include a photo and a brief account of that service member’s tour of duty either overseas or stateside, during war or peacetime. All service members throughout Southeast Wisconsin are eligible.
Each week for 16 weeks, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel will publish one story and that service member will be inducted into the Wisconsin Honor Roll. Each Friday on WTMJ-620AM, the Honor Roll inductee’s story will be featured in the Wisconsin Afternoon News.
“Whether it’s a service member who is just returning home, or someone whose bravery and sacrifice was shown in a previous conflict, we are proud to honor these men and women,” said Dirk Stallmann, Marketing Director at Steinhafels Furniture. “The Wisconsin Honor Roll is just one way we can make sure their sacrifice is not forgotten.”
