Planting a tree for every new customer is the least Servcorp can do to protect the environment and offset our existing footprint - Jennifer Goodwyn, Vice President at Servcorp USA
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 07, 2014
Over 20,000 trees have been planted to date as a part of Servcorp’s Green Offices Project. As a part of the green initiative, Servcorp has teamed with Greenfleet to plant a tree for every Virtual Office sold. Although virtual offices are already inherently environmentally friendly, they continue to be the driving force behind the Green Offices Project.
Initially developed as a way to help create a positive impact on the environment, the “Servcorp Forest” now covers more than 100,000 square feet of regional land; an area that’s greater than the combined floor space occupied by Servcorp’s global network. The carbon dioxide captured by the Servcorp Forest is the equivalent to taking nearly 1,000 cars off the road for one year and can offset the greenhouse gas emissions of the Servcorp head office in Sydney for five years.
“Forests are one of the most important facets in preserving the health of our planet,” said Jennifer Goodwyn, Vice President at Servcorp USA. “Planting a tree for every new customer is the least Servcorp can do to protect the environment and offset our existing footprint.”
Servcorp acknowledges the impact of greenhouse gases and climate change on the planet and, through the Green Offices Project, hopes to influence other businesses to become more sustainable and ensure the environment is protected from further damage. Not only does the project stress the importance of planting trees, but it aims to reduce carbon emissions and educate Servcorp clients about how to lessen their day-to-day impact on the environment.
