madison/miles media, an independent, Texas-based content marketing company, won an Award of Excellence in the 2014 Apex Awards for its work on The Cattleman magazine, the official publication of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA).
The Cattleman magazine — one of more than 2,000 entries in this year’s competition — was honored for Best Redesign. The APEX Awards are presented annually by Communication Concepts, Inc., for publication excellence in print, Web, electronic and social media.
madison/miles media worked closely with TSCRA to modernize the classic Cattleman brand without detracting from its 100-year heritage.
“After spending months studying the brand’s market, positioning, advertiser needs, reader needs and business objectives, we made changes to modernize The Cattleman in a powerful way while still maintaining the brand’s visual identity and integrity,” says Mario Medina, Creative Director at madison/miles media.
This is the second APEX Award in two years for the venerable Cattleman brand: madison/miles media earned an Award of Excellence in 2013 for Best Electronic Publication for The Cattleman+ tablet app.
