WEDI Announces Meaningful Use Webinar Series in Collaboration with the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services
Reston, VA (PRWEB) July 07, 2014 -- The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), the nation’s leading nonprofit authority on the use of health IT to create efficiencies in healthcare information exchange, announced today its summer webinar series with the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) titled “Getting the Most Out of Meaningful Use.” The three-part webinar series will begin Tuesday, July 15th and will include a series of presentations with Q&A to help providers, vendors and other interested parties prepare to meet meaningful use including the revised implementation timeline and requirements.
The event is open to all interested healthcare stakeholders across provider, payer, vendor and government entities. Speakers will include Elisabeth Myers, policy and outreach lead for CMS eHealth Initiatives, Office of eHealth Standards and Services (OESS) and Vidya Sellappan, a subject matter expert on the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs in OESS. Each hour-long webinar will begin at 2:00 EST, on the following dates:
Part 1 – July 15: What the Delay Means to You – What you should be doing now and other questions answered
Part 2 – July 30: Meaningful Use Essentials for the Small Provider – What you need to do and when
Part 3 – August 13: Preparing for the Future of Meaningful Use – What you should be preparing for and how payment works
“With the recent extension of the meaningful use stage 2 deadline and the delay of the start of stage 3, it is important that all parties involved in attempting to meet meaningful use have a clear understanding of the latest changes and processes,” said Devin Jopp, Ed.D, WEDI president and CEO. “Through our meaningful use webinar series with CMS, attendees will be provided the latest information on how to best prepare and meet the new deadlines for meaningful use attestation, directly from those leading the charge on these eHealth initiatives.”
Both WEDI members and non-members can register online to attend the webinar series. The series is free for premium WEDI members and WEDI webinar pass holders. Other WEDI members receive a discounted rate of $99 and the registration fee for non-WEDI members is $149. Registration fees include access to all three live and recorded webinars.
