"The public will have a profound impact on the winners for 2015."
Irving, TX (PRWEB) July 07, 2014
Seven Wonders is honored to introduce the winners for the Seven Wonders of Cities. Every city from around the globe was a potential candidate for the distinction of being named one of the world’s best cities.
A Wonder City is a distinction bestowed upon each city that wins the annual contest for the world’s Seven Wonders of Cities.
The campaign examined a number of statistical measures, placement in other global polls, presence of iconic landmarks, traditional or historical significance, and variety of uniqueness factors to reach the first list of winning cities.
New York City topped the list of Seven Wonders of Cities which included London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Paris and Bangkok. The remaining list is not in any particular order with each Wonder City receiving equal recognition.
The annual Seven Wonders of Cities campaign now includes public voting to help determine future Wonder City winners. Each person is permitted one vote to help eliminate spam voting influences.
The campaign for the Wonder Cities of 2015 starts today. Voting and city nominations takes place on the Seven Wonders website, which also features a variety of other Seven Wonder campaigns. The public is encouraged to vote in any of the campaigns.
Dr. Phillip Imler noted, "Public voting will have a profound impact on the winners for 2015." He added, "Voting from the public will be combined with statistical, traditional, and historical significance to help insure that the best cities win each year."
Missing cities that should be included in the Wonder City campaign may be nominated through the site. Seven Wonders will evaluate the nomination and add all appropriate candidates.
Interested parties are encouraged to visit Seven Wonders and vote on the Wonder Cities 2015 campaign. Spread the word through social media and encourage friends and families to make their voices heard with a vote on their favorite city.
