Newton Chiropractor to Focus On State-of-the-art Treatment for Concussions and Balance Disorders
Newton, Kansas (PRWEB) July 09, 2014 -- Hubbard Chiropractic Clinic announces an expansion of their services, to include a focus on balance-related issues, as well as an accompanying name change to Hubbard Chiropractic and Balance Center. Owned and operated by Sean Hubbard, D.C., at 1112 N. Main in Newton, the clinic adds the innovative treatment of balance and post concussion syndrome to its existing chiropractic services.
“Disturbances in balance create a wide range of conditions,” said Hubbard. Vertigo, clumsiness, falls and anxiety — these types of conditions have responded positively to functional neurology. Hubbard began his study of functional neurology after taking his wife Stacey to see to Dr. Carrick, D.C., Ph.D., at the Life Functional Neurology Center at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Prior to her visit, Stacey had spent 10 weeks in bed because of her inability to walk more than a few steps without losing her balance. After seeing her remarkable recovery, Dr. Hubbard decided to study under Dr. Carrick. Now, he brings this treatment method to his clinic in Newton.
Chiropractic functional neurology is a field within the chiropractic profession that addresses the interaction between the nervous system and one’s environment. The brain’s perception of the environment determines the body’s motor output. Motor output includes but is not limited to posture, balance and coordination.
“This new method is proving to be remarkably effective for a lot of people who hadn’t been able to find relief,” added Hubbard. “By combining balance therapy with chiropractic adjustments, these patients are able to return to a life of normal, active living. That’s our end goal.”
