Utah Entrepreneurs’ Organization Boasts Better Than Global Average Numbers
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) July 08, 2014 -- The Global Entrepreneur Indicator Survey numbers are out, and Utah shows better than average results in several areas. Increases in categories like Change in Number of Full-Time Employees, Change in Business’s Revenue, and Current Proclivity to Start a New Business all demonstrate that Utah offers a very positive atmosphere for entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs prosper in Utah for many reasons and one of those is the overwhelming support available through groups like Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).
“Before joining EO, I had just finished the year with sales of $1.6 million. I was doing a lot of ‘figuring things out on my own’ and it was a struggle. Roughly four years later and my company is on track to hitting $20 million in sales. Along the way, I have aligned myself with people that are sharing their experiences of how they figured things out, which in turn helps me to not make as many mistakes. EO has been one of the greatest blessings to me personally, as well as to my family and my staff,” said CEO of Landmark Home Warranty, Alma Jeppson. This sentiment is consistent throughout the organization with many Utah entrepreneurs crediting EO with immense increases in their business’s performance. “I joined EO about four years ago. At that point in time, the aquarium had $400,000 in the bank and now we’re just about to wrap up building a $25 million building. That’s happened over the four years since I’ve joined EO. I can’t help but think it’s had a direct impact on building and growing the business,” said CEO of Loveland Living Plant Aquarium.
For nearly three decades, Entrepreneurs’ Organization has offered support and guidance to business owners throughout the globe with educational and networking opportunities. The Utah chapter currently includes 82 businesses, which employ over 2,500 Utah workers. Entrepreneurs’ Organization fosters growth, which is evident in the Global Entrepreneur Indicator Survey results overall, but even more so in Utah. “I see Utah businesses in particular thriving right now because of this community's close connections with each other,” said Neutron Interactive Co-Founder, Shaun Ritchie. “So many business owners in Utah know each other and have benefitted from learning from each other's experiences. I see it everywhere here; people reaching out and helping build each other up, even as they build their own businesses.”
