Santa Ana, California (PRWEB) July 08, 2014 -- Educational equity advocate and former THINK Together Orange County Regional Leader, Tia Dwyer has been promoted to the Chief of Field Operations for THINK Together, one of California’s largest nonprofit education organizations.
“Tia comes into this position with a wealth of field experience and educational expertise,” said THINK Together Founder and CEO Randy Barth. “Her exceptional leadership will support THINK Together in creating opportunities for all kids to discover their passions and reach their full potential through THINK Together's shared learning platform, which includes early learning programs, expanded learning programs, core school-day strengthening programs and creating learning communities.”
In her role as Chief of Field Operations, Dwyer will directly support regional General Managers and leaders, as well as High School and Early Literacy & Math programs.
“I am honored and excited to be the Chief of Field Operations for THINK Together,” said Dwyer. “I look forward to working with our dedicated and excellent staff as we take THINK Together’s effective programs to the next level and help change the destinies of families in California.”
Dwyer has been with the organization for six years. She began as Director of Learning Programs where she led the building of THINK Together’s nationally recognized summer learning program in Santa Ana. "At THINK Together, we have set aggressive goals related to building leadership from within the organization," said Randy Barth. "Tia's ascension in our organization is a source of great pride for us as we develop the next generation of education leaders for California."
Prior to joining THINK Together, Tia oversaw the expanded learning programs in the Lawndale School District. Under her leadership, the Realizing Amazing Potential (RAP) Program grew to include before- and after-school programs at all elementary and middle schools in the Lawndale SD, as well as Kindergarten Academies at all elementary schools.
Tia is a credentialed teacher who holds a Bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and a Master's degree in Education.
