Our Telekom Selects XINTEC’s FMSevolution for Fraud Monitoring
Dublin, Ireland (PRWEB) July 10, 2014 -- Solomon Telekom Company Limited (Our Telekom) is the largest telecommunications network on the Solomon Islands, with services covering the areas of mobile, fixed line, Internet and television.
Our Telekom selected XINTEC both to monitor its network for interconnect bypass (SIM Box) traffic and to detect any potentially illicit subscriber activity on the domestic telecommunications network by deploying the FMSevolution™ fraud management system.
In recent times, various Pacific Islands telecommunications operators have suffered from abusive subscriber behaviour on their networks, or on the networks of their roaming partners. Very often the cost of fraud can reach staggering proportions, and Our Telekom is taking every precaution to ensure that its revenues are fully protected.
Commenting on the contract signing, Loyley Ngira, CEO of Our Telekom, said, “The XINTEC solution is a proven technology that comes highly recommended by other Pacific Island Telecommunications Association (PITA) members.” He adds, “XINTEC offer a high level of fraud protection that is very affordable, and particularly well suited to the needs of Our Telekom.”
FMSevolution™ will enable direct visibility of subscriber behaviour to detect any irregular activity as soon as it occurs. The XINTEC easy analytics dashboard and reporting capability will benefit several departments within Our Telekom, including the Revenue Assurance and Marketing functions.
“Our light-touch approach to integration allows us to bring this innovative solution to Our Telekom at low cost under a Software-as-a-Service model,” commented XINTEC CEO Sean Killeen. “It’s essential that we can show measurable value from the earliest days of solution deployment, and this is a commitment that we stand behind for all our customers, large and small,” he added.
