The currently accepted medical belief holds that high risk HPV strains do not cause genital warts. Therefore, if someone has genital warts, this individual is not at risk of developing cancer. However, Dr. Park and colleagues found that 20.5% of all warts tested “contained both high-risk and low-risk HPV types.” (1) As a result, Dr. Park concluded that “genital warts with high-risk HPV types may be considered a clinical marker of risk for developing a malignant disease.” (1) In simple terms, this means that if someone has a genital wart, he or she should not feel safe. Unlike conventional beliefs, a genital wart is a sign that the infected individual is at risk of developing cancer. Dr. Park and colleagues are from the Smile Jung's Urology Clinic in Busan, Korea.
Note that this study is so new, that major health websites such as Cancer.gov still says that “sexually transmitted HPVs fall into two categories: low-risk HPVs, which do not cause cancer but can cause skin warts (technically known as condylomata acuminata) on or around the genitals or anus.… (and) … high-risk or oncogenic HPVs, which can cause cancer.” (See Cancer.gov) (2)
As the medical studies above show, the HPV virus in some genital warts can, indeed, lead to cancer. Click here to learn more about HPV and genital warts.
Based on the evidence presented above, polyDNA recommends that individuals infected with HPV take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy in September 2013, the first in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that individuals infected with (certain viruses) reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR. (3) The study authors also wrote that, ‘We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.’ (3) In addition, this natural antiviral was recently proven to reduce mental and physical fatigue in a post-marketing clinical study that followed FDA guidelines.
Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
Once someone is infected with HPV of any type, research shows that it is quickly transmitted to that person’s sexual partner. “Thus, genital infection with high-risk HPV types is not only the problem of the infected patients, but also an issue of their sexual partners … studies reported that 20% to 50% of genital warts were found to be colonized or co-infected with high-risk HPV types.” (1) This means that an individual with genital warts may actually pass on a strain of HPV that could cause cancer in both sexual partners.
This is concerning since the HPV vaccine, Gardasil, only works to prevent infection with 4 HPV strains. These include “(HPV) - HPV-6, 11, 16, and 18.” (See WebMD) (4) Yet, genital warts with both low and high risk types of HPV were shown to include “HPV16 HPV33 (4.5%), HPV18, and HPV68. (1) In other words, these genital warts included high risk HPV types not covered by the vaccine.
What Treatments are Available that Target HPV?
“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (2) In contrast, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR were designed to target the latent HPV.
“We believe that HPV infected individuals should take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antiviral products was designed to help the immune system target the latent human papillomavirus.” - Mike Evans, polyDNA
