Informational Egg Freezing Seminar Hosted by Shady Grove Fertility in Washington, DC
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 08, 2014 -- With so much news about egg freezing, the technology that makes it possible, and the celebrities that are talking about it, more and more women are wondering, “What exactly is egg freezing? Is this right for me? Can I afford it?”
These questions and many others will be addressed on the evening of Thursday, July 10 by Dr. Joseph Doyle at Shady Grove Fertility’s in downtown Washington, DC.
“New technologies have made egg freezing a valuable option for women who are considering preserving their fertility. Our informational seminar provides a casual and open atmosphere to address every question perspective patients may have. We take great pride in the personal treatment for each patient and this seminar is a great introduction," says Dr. Doyle.
Shady Grove Fertility, the nation’s largest and most progressive fertility center, began the Egg Freezing Program in 2009 after vitrification, a flash-freezing process for eggs, showed increased success rates making egg freezing more viable for more women. Prior to vitrification, egg freezing was not a reliable option for women because of the potential for ice crystals to form and thus ruin the quality of the egg. Since the advancement of vitrification Shady Grove Fertility’s doctors and staff have been working with patients to educate each woman about the factors potential patients must consider such as age, BMI, and family history prior to treatment. As fertility treatment options continue to evolve and offer women different paths to motherhood, Shady Grove Fertility is committed to educating and informing as every woman chooses their own course. The upcoming egg freezing seminar is an excellent first step to learn about this exciting new process.
