William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty has announced that the company is sponsoring this year’s Home of Distinction, an annual home construction project that invites numerous contractors to work together on building a high-end energy-efficient home with environmentally responsible materials, while raising money for charity. In addition, Old Lyme, Conn. agent Byron Lazine has listed for sale the current home of the individual who is building the Home of Distinction as their next personal residence.
The home Lazine has listed, located at 5 Timber Lane in Guilford, is situated on a cul-de-sac on 1.84 acres, and includes 4,852 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and six baths.
This year’s Home of Distinction, located at 1355 Boston Post Road in Guilford, Conn., will be open with tours to the public in October 2014, and money raised during the tour will go to Camp Courant, a free summer camp program for children in Hartford. Lazine will host a table at the open house tours, where he will have the opportunity to introduce the services of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty to members of the public.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Home of Distinction project. I am especially honored to be able to represent William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty during the first year a real estate company has ever been involved,” said Lazine. “The Home of Distinction is very important to the community, both for supporting local charity and for showcasing sustainable building practices before the public.”
