5-year old online marketing company WebMechanix just finalized its acquisition of 7D Interactive, a web & software development firm. The joint companies will operate under the WebMechanix brand and all key personnel will continue working from WebMechanix’s headquarters in downtown Columbia, MD.
7D Interactive, founded in 2011, provides custom-tailored web and software development solutions for clients in both the public and private sectors. Clients include Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA), Choice Hotels International, among others.
Dave Brong, who founded 7D Interactive in 2011, joins the WebMechanix leadership team as their Chief Technology Officer.

WebMechanix is ramping up hiring efforts over the next six months in response to the influx of new business from the merger. Several of these hires are expected to be graduates of WebMechanix Academy, a 12-week training program for aspiring internet marketers in the greater Baltimore area.
Terms of the merger were not disclosed.
WebMechanix is a digital marketing agency based out of Columbia, MD. Their team consists of young, motivated web developers, internet marketers, and digital strategists whose sole purpose is delivering snowballing ROI for clients. They also operate a training division which has offerings for both corporate and consumer markets.
