Chicago-Based EDM Power Duo (We Are) Nexus and Your EDM Gear Up to Premier the Duo's Original Mix, "Shamelessly"
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 09, 2014 -- It’s been a busy month for Nick Gunn and Carmen Rainier from (We Are) Nexus. Leading up to the official street date of July 15th for their highly anticipated EP, “Shamelessly," Nexus have been releasing exclusive previews on YouTube each week from the stellar remix line-up that appears on the EP. However this week, the duo get to take a breath and focus on premiering their original content, something they have much pride in.
"This week is so exciting for us," says producer and composer for Nexus Nick Gunn. "We finally get to preview and debut our original mixes for ‘Shamelessly.’ Our original mix is so different with a 3/4 meter at 140 BPM. We didn't follow anyone else's lead on this mix; we produced a track from our hearts and we feel it has plenty of emotional appeal.”
Already exciting enough, there is an added twist to this week as Your EDM, the largest online blogger for everything EDM, is offering a exclusive preview of the "Shamelessly" original mix this Friday, July 11. Nexus fans will get to listen to the entire track rather than just a preview, and only on YourEDM.com.
"We have a multi-pronged approach to this week," says Carmen Rainier, Nexus vocalist and lyricist. "We plan to preview our club mix on YouTube this week, like we did all the other remixes, but our pride and joy original mix is being reserved for our good friends over at Your EDM. They have been so supportive of what we are doing and we can't think of a better partner to premier the track for us.”
For those who don't know, Nexus blasted onto the EDM scene just 11 months ago with their cover to Sonique's 1998 trance hit, "It Feels So Good,” and followed up in January, 2014 with their first original track, "World Around Me.” Both singles jumped onto the Billboard charts and iTunes top 100 dance, proving that Nexus were here to stay.
Gracing their new EP "Shamelessly" are some of EDM's brightest remixers such as Dave Audé and Papercha$er. In addition, you can find some unknowns such as Kirk Cosier, with his hot Melbourne Bounce sound, and Your EDM remix competition winner Kaleptik who delivered a banging Dubstep track worthy of some 2am raving.
If you can't get enough of (We Are) Nexus, there's a simple fix: join their Nexus Nation by becoming a Citizen. That's right, a citizen! Also launching this coming weekend of July 11th is the new Nexus Nation fan site where fans can join, spread the Nexus word, and earn points for amazing giveaways and swag, including an unreleased bonus track of "Shamelessly" only available to Nexus Nation fans.
In the meantime, preview the "Shamelessly" club mix YouTube and follow Nexus on Facebook.com/wearenexusofficialpage, Twitter @wearenexusedm, and SoundCloud.com/we-are-nexus-edm.
