BuySide Partners, a procurement services advisory firm, today announced that Dan McMullan has joined the firm to lead its Acquisition Planning Practice. Dan will be responsible for assisting U.S. federal government clients assemble and write the required information and materials for complex acquisitions—IT, supplies, services—in accordance with regulations and best practices.
Most recently a Contracting Officer for the Department of the Navy, Dan focused on IT procurement as a civilian employee for 15 years. During this period, he was singled out by Naval Supply Systems Command senior leadership to develop standard operating procedures governing the “deep diving” and “rewiring” of high risk, high-dollar service contracts worth several billion dollars. Dan has personally mentored more than a dozen junior, mid-level, and senior contracting officers.
Dan also served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), where he was trained as an avionics technician and has spoken at various leadership events and USMC training seminars. During his 10-year tour, he received commendations for leadership during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
