Tulemar Resort Welcomes Craft Breweries to First Beer Festival
Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica (PRWEB) July 10, 2014 -- Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio area has long been an attractive destination for a diverse group of people drawn for the natural beauty and opportunity for adventure. Area leaders and businesses are increasing efforts to provide additional cultural activities for visitors and local residents alike. Tulemar Resort, which offers a variety of ocean view bungalows and large private vacation rental villas, says these projects have tremendous value.
Resort spokesperson Mari Borge adds, "Events like this are fun for the whole community. It gives our guests a chance to mingle and see a different side of Costa Rica and its people. The marina is an ideal backdrop where the sun sets into the Pacific Ocean and the moon dances on the water."
The number of craft breweries, microbreweries, and home breweries are increasing in Costa Rica following the trend popularized in the US and UK. Aficionados face challenges in the small Central American country, however, including the high cost of imported grains, hops, and other ingredients. The majority of breweries remain clustered around the capital and central valley region of San Jose.
"With interest in craft brews growing among the younger generation, I think we can look forward to more festivals and events like this. Maybe one day we'll have visitors expecting to sample our IPAs in addition to our world-famous coffee," Borge concluded.
