SevenFriday a worldwide watch company is partnering with Floyd Davis a local Chicago artist that is re-opening his gallery on July 11th in the art district of Chicago. Floyd, a fan of SevenFriday, is unveiling a wooden sculpture masterpiece of a SevenFriday watch at the event.

Show me don't tell me

SevenFriday is a unique brand of watches that lives by the motto "show me don't tell me". So it made perfect sense for them to partner with local Chicago artist Floyd Davis at the grand
re-opening of his gallery ArtPentry on Halsted Street July 11th during Second Friday's in the art district of Chicago. Floyd is most famous for his design of the gentleman's boom box a design now used around the world. The new gallery will be 2,000 sq. feet with a 50 sq. foot showroom. The additional 1500 sq. feet will be used as his working creative space accessible to the public focusing on the motto "show me don't tell me". SevenFriday's marketing techniques are just as unique and original as its watches. No other watch brand is reaching out to its consumer this way or thinking outside of the box the way they do. With this event to a pop up shop they just did in the beginning of the month at the Lyric Comedy Theater in Los Angeles with Damon Wayans the brand is reinventing the wheel for marketing in the watch business. Plus the brand name doesn't hurt, everyone loves Friday and don't we all wish there were seven of them?
