Tidewater Performance Joins Forces With recruit757 for Inaugural Basketball Showcase
Newport News, Va. (PRWEB) July 10, 2014 -- Tidewater Performance, a division of Tidewater Physical Therapy, will join recruit757 next month to present the inaugural Basketball Showcase, a basketball skills event created to help high school seniors gain exposure to college coaches recruiting in the southeast Tidewater, VA region.
A boys showcase event will take place on August 16 and a girls showcase on August 23. Both events will be held at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Norfolk at 1401 Ballentine Boulevard. recruit757 is dedicated to getting more college offers for the players of Southeastern Virginia.
“The recruit757 Basketball Showcase is designed to give high school basketball players the tools they need to increase their value to college coaches,” said Andy Hilton, founder of recruit757. “Your height, weight, combine performance, and skill evaluation will be recorded and shared with college coaches. We want you to leave this event ready to take on the basketball season, and be ready for recruitment to college.”
In addition to showcasing skills, Hilton said, “this is a get listed camp. We use this event to identify new talent in the area. We will take head shots and list all varsity starters on recruit757.com or update your profile from this event. Inclusion in our database gets you instant exposure to all college coaches that recruit the region.”
An experienced team of local coaches will run the camp, spending time with players and offering instruction to help improve performance. After combine work, position drills, and one-on-ones, all players will compete in 5-on-5 scrimmages where their performance will be measured critically.
Tidewater Performance athletic and sports performance trainers will be on site to administer combine testing and ensure safety.
Lunch and a camp t-shirt will be included
