As independent artists we get to set our own boundaries. This storyline isn't one you might expect from a teen artist like me - it’s not your usual teen crush music video. That's why I like it so much. It’s unexpected.

Recording artist Tae Brooks debuts the highly anticipated official music video for his original ballad, ‘It’s Always Been You’ on YouTube http://youtu.be/GIsDEbiOD8w. The dramatic suspense filled video promises to keep you wondering all the way to the very end.
This video does not disappoint the ShawTaes, his loyal fans who are treated to Tae’s signature crooning and soulful eyes working the camera as he weaves a tale of change and crisis in a relationship. Tae Brooks states, “As independent artists we get to set our own boundaries. This storyline isn't one you might expect from a teen artist like me - it’s not your usual teen crush music video. That's why I like it so much. It’s unexpected. Of course I had an awesome co-star and so much help with this video. I have a great team helping me. The responses we’re getting tell us it was worth the risk.”
The 16-year-old Cincinnati native and current Angeleno first caught the world’s attention in 2011 on YouTube, where he has amassed over 4.8 million views. Exposure from YouTube and other growing social networks jump-started Tae’s career, leading to a three year intermittent singing/acting project in Japan alongside his co-star in the new music video, actress/dancer Malia Tyler.
Tae has also been sought out for voice-over work, including being the current male lead voice of the Disney 365 theme song and of Michael Jackson in the animated TV series Black Dynamite. Tae Brooks’ music has gained him notoriety in industry circles, being recognized in Billboard Magazine as #19 on the Next Big Sound chart. His covers have been featured on the websites of The Huffington Post, Ryan Seacrest, Perez Hilton and more. VersedOnline.com lists Tae Brooks as one of the 2014 Breakout Artists to Watch - and they are right.
Before heading back to Japan in late August, Tae’s been squeezing in concert performances, recently opening for Republic Records artists Kalin and Myles and more.
