ArchiveShuttle.cloud is designed for organizations looking to migrate email archives, but do not want to provision on-premise servers to control the migration.

Leading email migration company QUADROtech today announced immediate availability of the cloud-enabled version of ArchiveShuttle - the comprehensive solution for migration of email between archives or to Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office 365.

ArchiveShuttle.cloud is designed for organizations looking to migrate email archives, but do not want to provision on-premise servers to control the migration. Instead ArchiveShuttle.cloud allocates a dedicated core in QUADROtech’s cloud data centers to control the migration. This approach reduces the impact on resources enabling email archive migration to start more quickly.

“We decided to develop the cloud version of ArchiveShuttle in response to customer demand,” said Peter Kozak, CEO QUADROtech. “Organizations with email archive migration projects loved our solution, but some were wary of the need to provision temporary servers for the migration. ArchiveShuttle.cloud takes that problem away by supplying the core services from our cloud datacenters.”

All that is required on-premise is to deploy the appropriate target and source modules and allocate a staging area. The end-to-end migration is initiated using a Quick-Start Wizard that guides the administrator through the configuration. The Control Dashboard is supported by text and video-based instructions meaning that professional services are not essential, however an optional half-day quick-start consultancy package is available if desired.

As part of QUADROtech’s focus on security no content is transferred to the cloud. The QUADROtech cloud data centers are used to control the process. As such only meta-data is exchanged between local and cloud servers, and this meta-data is encrypted both locally and in transit.

“We have been using ArchiveShuttle.cloud to manage the migration of Enterprise Vault to Exchange 2013,” said Tim Huckaby, Group IT Server Administration Team Leader at Firth Rixson. “What initially attracted us was how simple it was to get started. We didn’t need to provision any hardware or virtual machines onsite so we were up and running very quickly. I have to say we have been impressed with how smoothly the migration is going and how the intuitive admin console makes archive migration easy.”

All of the benefits of ArchiveShuttle are available through ArchiveShuttle.cloud, these include:

  •      Migration from multiple email archive platforms
  •      Migration to cloud and on-premise email archives
