Miller Architects & Builders Breaks Ground on Phase I of Pond View Heights Apartments
Mankato, MN (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- Miller Architects & Builders has recently broke ground on Phase I of Pond View Heights Apartments in Mankato, Minnesota.
The owners, Ringheim Family Limited Partnership have been a long time fixture in Mankato with the purchase of Hillside Terrace House and two 12-plexes in 1976 by Loren and Marilyn Ringheim. Expansions followed over the years with a 6-plex built on the Hillside Terrace property, building of Lormar Suites, and acquiring the Crown Apartments.
The Ringheim family had been looking at several areas in Mankato to build a new apartment complex on, one being land they had played on as children. “We began discussions in the spring of 2012 for the acquisition of 9.8 acres of a 28-acre piece of undeveloped property owned by the Kearney family”, said Garth Ringheim. Extensive discussions with Kearney Family members Mathew Kearney and Thor Snilsberg and the Mankato City Planner Paul Vogel were held. The final design was for three buildings to be constructed in 3 phases, the first being a 77-unit building, designed and constructed by Miller Architects & Builders, to be followed by two 48-unit buildings.
The new 128,680 square foot apartment complex features 3-stories with one, two, and three bedroom units, upscale amenities including granite countertops, a community room, fitness room, courtyard and underground parking. Completion is scheduled for spring of
2015.
Miller Architects & Builders is excited to have the opportunity to team with the Ringheim Family on Pond View Heights Apartments from architectural services through construction.
