The Timex Performance Network will capitalize on the legacy of the Timex IRONMAN watch brand and will serve as an online destination for runners and endurance athletes nationwide. The hub will reflect the active lifestyle of Timex consumers and will aim to enhance their training experiences. Users will be encouraged to share their own training photos on the site using the live Instagram feed, as well as interact with Timex’s Factory Team, an ambassadorship program composed of more than 300 athletes.
As an extension of the Timex Performance Network, Timex will also have a heightened presence at select grassroots endurance events of varying distances throughout the country. For the remainder of this year, Timex will sponsor 61 races in U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Chicago, Baltimore, and Jacksonville. The brand hopes to engage with runners and athletes on the Timex Performance Network before, during, and after these events and will provide an event directory, training resources and special offers on the Timex Performance Network.
