According to the article on BBC News’ official website, dated 11 June 2014 by Athar Ahmad: Gold thieves target vulnerable Asian families in Manchester, gangs in Greater Manchester are targeting homes with Asian families in pursuit of gold and jewellery, according to local police. So far, ten households have been robbed by thieves wearing masks, over the course of the past two months. The incidents were violent in nature, often involving children and the elderly. Police officers suspect that the attackers are known among the members of the local Asian community. Greater Manchester Chief Inspector Andy Sidebotham added that the department is concerned by the threats of violence being used, with Asian people targeted for their gold and jewellery. "Some of the offenders have asked for gold in Punjabi, so within the group there are some Asian offenders."
The BBC News article goes on to say that according to other robbery reports, there have been an increased number of gold burglaries during the spring and summer months, probably because it is the traditional wedding season for Asian communities.
After reading the article in BBC News, Manchester Private Investigators (http://manchester-privateinvestigators.co.uk/) wanted to let the public know that crime is on the rise, and in a lot of the cases, the police can’t do anything, whether for lack of evidence or the fact that they’re spread over a vast number of cases. But, people should not sit idle in their homes, waiting to get robbed. Instead, they should schedule a meeting with Manchester Private Investigators and their expert private detectives, who will do everything in their power to devise the best strategy on how they can protect their homes. Their security experts will make sure every corner of their home will be covered and protected by state-of-the-art equipment, and monitored by our teams 24/7. But, in case a robbery has already taken place, Manchester Private Investigators will put all of their resources at their client’s disposal and locate the burglar in the shortest amount of time possible. This will hopefully lead to thieves being put behind bars, and the goods returned to their rightful owners. Manchester Private Investigators can help.
Chief investigators at Manchester Private Investigators William Abbott, after reading articles online and in newspapers, expressed his concern for the fact that these robberies are becoming violent in nature, and that it’s only a matter of time before someone seriously gets hurt or killed. Mr. Abbott also went on to say: “Criminals are getting bolder and more daring every day, and we must take certain measures of precautions in order to stop the worst from happening. Manchester Private Detectives can help you stay safe and keep your family away from harm and your times intact.”
