Invata Intralogistics to Debut First Gebhardt Shuttle AS-RS in U.S. Market
Conshohocken, PA (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- Invata Intralogistics, Inc., specialists in material handling systems integration and warehouse software and controls, today announced that it will install a Gebhardt AS-RS equipment system featuring a Mini Load AS-RS Crane and the first Shuttle AS-RS to be used in the U.S. market later this year.
The move is the result of a strategic alliance that began in January 2013 between Gebhardt Group’s, Gebhardt Material Handling Systems, of Sinsheim Germany and Invata in which the companies have been working to combine the highly sought-after, German-engineered, AS-RS technology with U.S. built and supported control systems for use in the U.S. market.
Invata will integrate the Gebhardt automated storage and retrieval systems (AS-RS), which will include mini-load cranes, shuttle vehicles, and material lifts, into an Invata designed and controlled warehouse automation system. Invata will incorporate the AS-RS equipment using all U.S. built controls for seamless systems integration and compliance with U.S. standards and practices. In addition, Invata will provide comprehensive 24/7/365 support to ensure optimal systems operation for the life cycle of the system — as it does for all of its systems.
The integration of these AS-RS systems with Invata's purpose-built storage media, conveyor systems, sortation systems, and warehouse software and controls systems represents an 18-month collaboration between the companies in which every detail involved in successfully implementing and supporting combined technology systems was addressed, resolved, and tested.
“The collaboration between Gebhardt and Invata has paid off," said Lee Kuhn COO of Invata. “We have invested heavily in making sure our implementations will go smoothly and our systems will run flawlessly. To that end, we have enhanced our software and controls systems capacity, while adding experienced AS-RS and Controls personnel to our team. We look forward to bringing this top-tier technology to the U.S. market.”
“We are very pleased to see our German AS-RS systems controlled by such a professional and experienced company in the U.S., ” said Marco Gebhardt Director of Gebhardt Fördertechnik. “We have assembled the best team for this project. Invata shares our commitment to quality intralogistics systems and the use of advanced material handling technology. We have been working closely with them to ensure the success of this implementation and more in the future.”
