Melbourne Company Navigo Finalist in National Innovation Awards
(PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- Melbourne IT business Navigo has been awarded a merit achievement in the iAwards, an Australian award series recognising innovation in business. The merit achievement qualifies Navigo as a finalist in the national iAwards, to be held in August.
Previous winners of the annual national iAwards include Swinburne University, telecommunications giant Huawei, and successful Australian startup WOTIF.
Navigo, based in Ringwood, Melbourne, is an HR and payroll technology company that employs 24 people. Navigo’s merit award was for their product HROnboard, which provides cloud-based employee on-boarding technology to organisations across Australia and New Zealand. Users of HROnboard include Deakin University, Tatts Group and Swisse. The software takes a traditionally paper-based process and moves it online, making inducting new employees faster, more effective, and more cost-efficient.
HROnboard’s achievement was recognised in the “Tools” category of the iAwards, which, according to the iAwards website, covers “management, middleware, integration and platforms.” The iAwards website goes on to point out that: “The challenge for innovators is to try to foresee what a business may need and develop the tools and infrastructure to enable these business demands to be met in real time but within the pragmatic constraints of budget and practicality.”
Navigo Managing Director Peter Forbes had this to say about HROnboard’s recognition at the awards: “We’re really pleased about being recognised with this merit award at the state level. It’s great to see that the employee onboarding space is getting attention from an organisation like the iAwards. A lot of hard work has gone into HROnboard. Judging in the national iAwards takes place over two days in August. Finalists are notified in advance and encouraged to attend the gala dinner and presentation, to be held in Melbourne.
