Carla Spencer, MBA RDN LD, a part of the Renal Practice Group, decided to solve a problem that she and most Registered Dietitians face. She was continually telling clients to go find low sodium foods and spices, but where were they supposed to get them?

So she launched http://Foods4YourHealth.com.

"I always tell my clients that it is imperative that they enjoy their lives and their meals, even on an adjusted plan. So it is critical that they find great ways to season and enjoy their meals without the salt and fat."

Carla knew there were many salt-free alternatives out there; they just weren't available in the local grocery store.

"I have personally cooked with each of the items in our online store and can vouch for their superb quality and fresh taste. We have started with a well-rounded base of sumptuous products and will be continually adding to that."

Foods4YourHealth currently features spices, seasonings, and meals from brands like Mr. Spice, Mickey & T's, Kuner's, Farmstand Soup Co., Francesco Rinaldi, and Purely American.

Carla's extensive background in food manufacturing for some big names in the industry and in helping individual clients as a dietitian gave her the desire, knowledge, and skills to fill an important gap in the path toward an improved lifestyle for many people who are struggling with renal, hypertension, and a host of other issues.

"Since we recognize that even healthy food must taste great, we seek out products to test, that then receive our stamp of approval. With these foods in stock, we offer them to people at a competitive cost with minimal effort to purchase on the Internet and have delivered to their homes."

Providing hard-to-find products, of course, is only part of the equation. Carla also has a blog where she shares practical advice with recommendations on enjoying your meals in a healthy way that actually fits in today's hectic pace. Popular topics covered include 50 Foods Low In Potassium, Frozen Veggies As A Dinner Base, Salt Free Seasoning: What To Look For, and 5 Delicious Diabetes Bedtime Snacks.
