50,000 Celebrate Fourth of July Weekend with Shrimp and Fun at San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant
San Pedro, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- As American families across the country celebrated the Fourth of July, a record shattering 50,000 gathered at the San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant, the largest seafood restaurant in California.
"We have worked all year to prepare for summer, and when the July Fourth weekend arrived we were amazed and honored," said Mike Ungaro, Vice-President, San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant. "To have so many families and friends come down and choose precisely the meal they wanted to share together really shows our hard work paid off."
Reporting at the beginning of this year that they had for the first time served 1 million plus guests in 2013, San Pedro has worked hard to expand its ability to serve the growing crowds in what is becoming another record-setting year.
"In the past three years we have put a huge amount of investment in upgrading our entire facility and staff training, while thoughtfully expanding the offerings in ways we knew would help us always improve quality and our guest's experience," explained Ungaro. "That work paid off over the last few days because we have never operated so smoothly."
Having received nearly 8,000 5 star online reviews in addition to awards from TripAdvisor and many others, San Pedro Fish Market has updated several key guest areas while working closely to implement a process that has helped identify open tables, maintain smaller lines, and improve guest experiences.
"Last month, we received a huge number of 5 star reviews on Yelp and elsewhere, which to us is a great validation that using the freshest ingredients in groundbreaking ways and serving it in an extremely fun environment builds unforgetable experiences for our guests," said Mike Ungaro. "Our classic shrimp tray continues to grow in popularity but we take it as a great compliment that more and more of our guests are deciding to pick seafood well outside their comfort zone like oysters, mussels, and new drink offerings like our world famous michelada."
From July 1, 2014 through July 6, 2014, San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant, located on the LA Waterfront in San Pedro, CA served approximately 50,000 guests family style dinners of shrimp and seafood served on trays. Each group dining together picks out nearly every ingredient as well as the preparation in a traditional fish market while then waiting to have their order prepared for free by the world record holding chefs of San Pedro Fish Market. In addition to family style seafood, the restaurant has a dining room where guests can choose a more individualized, traditional service for meals.
