Nonprofit Mobile Day Features Creator of Text-to-Pledge® as Speaker
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- CEO of Sophist LLC and creator of Text-to-Pledge® Reed Baker will instruct Nonprofit Mobile Day attendees on mobile fundraising Tuesday, July 15, at the DMA Seminar Center located at 1120 Avenue of the Americas, 13th Floor, New York, NY.
Baker created mobile fundraising platform Text-to-Pledge® in 2007, allowing nonprofits to utilize SMS (text message) for real-time pledging during events. The program has helped 250-plus nonprofits across the country raise more than $30 Million, cumulatively, since its inception. Baker was invited to be a featured speaker for Nonprofit Mobile Day after Event Organizer Mobile Commerce Daily published “Text-to-Pledge Turns SMS Messaging into Philanthropy,” noting the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar party as one example of Text-to-Pledge’s successful fundraising campaigns.
“We collaborate closely with nonprofits in order to ensure that the Text-to-Pledge mobile-pledging platform is fully optimized for their unique live donor events,” says Baker. “Technology has altered every industry and nonprofits recognize that fundraising techniques are evolving as a result. Our goal is to use a sound strategy and polished best practices in order to help our client organizations leverage the mobile aspect of this shift and realize maximum ROI through this particular channel.”
Baker’s Nonprofit Mobile Day speech, “Text-to-Pledge: Unlocking a New Revenue Stream at Events through Mobile Giving,” will help nonprofit organizations determine if and when to consider a live-event mobile giving campaign. Baker will also share best practices for planning a mobile campaign, how to measure mobile results and interpret data, and mobile tools for annual campaigning. He’ll wrap up with a look into technologies that will impact the future of fundraising tech and will end by opening the floor to questions.
At the July 15 event, Baker will be joined by speakers from distinguished organizations such as UNICEF, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Johnson & Johnson and Goodwill. Visit the Nonprofit Mobile Day event page to learn more or to register to attend. The event is a presentation of Napean’s Mobile Commerce Daily and the DMA Nonprofit Federation.
Baker is also a candidate for a presentation at the 2015 Nonprofit Technology Conference March 4-6, in Austin, TX. Anyone is welcome to vote for NTEN’s inclusion of Reed and his lecture topic, “The digital giving landscape: Which programs will prove most effective for your nonprofit.” Visit the proposal page on the NTEN website to vote for this session by Friday, July 18.
