· Kelly and Jared Balsky
· Sibyl Hassan
· Elizabeth and Max Joice
· Vicky and Jose Vargas
· Emily Castillo
· Donielle Maddox

· Phoebe and Jen Hamilton
40 WEEKS examines and addresses topics surrounding pregnancy and child birth such as sonograms, morning sickness, prenatal nutrition, screenings, safe remedies, fetal development, preparing for delivery, single parenting, same-sex parenting, health risks, pre-term labor, low birth weight, home safety, preparing to bring the baby home and more.
Director Christopher Henze says, “This film [40 WEEKS] is an incredible opportunity for me to honor my wife, my family, and all mothers, for being willing and able to go through this noble transformation.” Co-Founder Dominique Debroux states, “While the market is awash with media about birth and parenting, no documentary project has ever sought to fully explore the emotional journey of each of the forty weeks of pregnancy.”
40 WEEKS was filmed with the RED Scarlett and the RED DRAGON. The DRAGON is a camera so cutting-edge that only a few hundred currently exist. While using the RED cameras, the 40 WEEKS production team was often able to create natural beautiful shots without the use of extra lighting, allowing an intimate and present feel during the interview segments of the film. The interviewer and equipment was able to ‘disappear’, leaving only the families talking about incredible moments in their lives.
To insure that all healthcare information in the movie and website is accurate and current 40 WEEKS partnered with the March of Dimes, a trusted organization at the forefront of saving babies for over 75 years, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), the world's largest nursing authority dedicated to the health of women and babies, and HealthyWomen.org, the nation’s leading independent health information source for women.
