Hollywood Funnymen Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Evan Goldberg Donate Memorabilia in Support of Family after Tragedy in Atlanta
(PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- In April of this year, a house fire in Atlanta claimed the lives of 43-year-old Tami Willadsen and her 10-year-old daughter Jess. Tami’s husband Dave survived the fire and managed to pull their 5-year-old son, Jack, from the engulfed house. Jack will make a full recovery, however he suffered significant burns and has many years of physical therapy ahead of him.
The story, and Dave and Jack’s long road to recovery, got the attention of Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Evan Goldberg via Jonathan Watson, who is a high school friend of Dave Willadsen. Watson has worked alongside Rogen, McBride and Goldberg as an assistant director for many years on shows such as “Eastbound & Down” and movies “This Is the End” and “The Green Hornet”.
“What happened to our dear friend Dave and his beautiful wife, daughter and son has shook our group of friends to our core; the moment I told Seth, Danny and Evan about it they immediately wanted to know what they could do to help,” Watson said.
Organized by friends and family of the Willadsens in Atlanta, an Ebay auction page has been set up so that fans can bid on one-of-a-kind memorabilia such as autographed copies of some of their movies, Kenny Powers one-offs and even a very rare “Superbad – The Drawings” (aka ‘The Penis Book’ made famous by Jonah Hill in the movie).
To bid, go to http://www.ebay.com/usr/willadsenbenefit23 (all proceeds go directly to the Willadsens – the auction ends this Saturday, July 19).
