Is it possible to shoot within a 1” grouping at 60 yards? With Borkholder’s Custom Bolts it is. Because each of today’s crossbows shoots slightly different regarding velocity and draw weight Borkholder’s has built a custom bolts specific to each crossbow model. The company has started to offer custom bolts for 25 different models of Excalibur, TenPoint, and Scorpyd. And they are continuing to build and perfect additional models for additional manufacturers.
Why are Borkholder Archery's custom crossbow bolts superior to factory bolts? If experts of the fields are to be believed, the superiority of Borkholder's custom crossbow bolts over the factory bolts are based on precision spine-matching and fletching on the world-class Firenock Jig.
When contacted, Brian Hite, a technician from the company said, “Our custom bolts retain more kinetic energy and are much more accurate than factory bolts. With our custom bolts you can shoot at sub 1 inch grouping at 60 yards.”
The custom-made quality bolts by Borkholder's are Gold Tip Pro series bolts with brass inserts, are spine matched, and fletched with Firenock Jig. These jigs offer better fletching with blazer, Aerovane III or 3" Easton BTV than any other jig on the market with up to a 1/2 degree offset. The major feature of Aerovane jig is its indexer that is made with level three hard anodized CNC aluminum sustained by two ABEC#5 ceramic ball bearings in order to make sure that the efficiency and alignment are perfect with in 1/72 of a deg. These jigs have a triple O-rings system with a wedge design for providing the perfect arrow holding while fetching. Its duel magnet design helps in ensuring the accuracy by adjusting the angles. Every magnet has independent one MM per turn adjustment screws that can be easily tightened with hand to get correct adjustment and locked down by an Allen key.
