Webinar on "Safety Nets Achieve Care Coordination using HIE : Breakthrough and Stakeholders in the Kansas City Region"
Cranbury, NJ (PRWEB) July 17, 2014 -- BluePrint Healthcare IT, in conjunction with Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), will present a Webinar on August 7, 2014 focusing on implementing the electronic coordination of care for patients shared between ten safety net organizations in the Kansas City Bi-state region. Stakeholder roles will be highlighted and the foundational steps taken to launch the health information exchange initiative will be examined. The program performed so well that the number of safety nets participating in the next stage will almost double. The safety nets include a mix of providers focused on delivering primary care and care in mental health, public health, substance abuse assessment, health education and health service coordination. The exchange of vital information to support patient care uses secure DIRECT messaging.
Program participants represented on the Webinar panel will include Mid-America Regional Council (MARC); Turner House Children’s Clinic, a safety net organization; three Health Information Organizations—Kansas Health Information Network (KHIN), Lewis and Clark Information Exchange (LACIE), Missouri Health Connection; REACH Healthcare Foundation; and BluePrint Healthcare IT, the consulting services and software organization.
