Fort Worth CPA Honored by Statewide Organization
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 16, 2014 -- The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) recently honored Fort Worth certified public accountant W.M. “Mack” Lawhon with the organization’s Meritorious Service to the Public Accounting Profession in Texas Award.
The meritorious service award is the highest honor given by TSCPA and recognizes a CPA who has made significant contributions to the profession. Lawhon has been a TSCPA member since 1972 and has served the Society, the Fort Worth Chapter, and the profession in a variety of roles. His service to the Society includes roles on various committees and a term on the Executive Board and Board of Directors. Lawhon has also been a member of AICPA Council. He serves the profession as a trustee of the Financial Accounting Foundation. Not only is he a leader and builder of one of the nation’s largest independent public accounting firms, but Lawhon also serves in esteemed leadership roles in his local community.
