The Orleans Ballroom is the oldest in the city, dating to 1817, and is an appropriate location to celebrate “300 Years of Technology and Innovation in Louisiana” the theme of the August 28th banquet presented by the Louisiana Economic Development Association as the finale to its annual TechNOLAgy Festival. The banquet will be hosted by none other than the most famous scientist of the New World of the 1700s, Governor Antonio Ulloa, portrayed by historian Robert Freeland. Governor Ulloa was a noted inventor and statesman appointed by the Spanish King to govern all of Louisiana.
