Bird Golf Academy Announces the Induction of Craig Waryan into the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame
Litchfield Park, AZ (PRWEB) July 18, 2014 -- The Bird Golf Academy is thrilled to celebrate the induction of one of its long-term instructors and esteemed professionals, Craig Waryan, as he is inducted into the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame. Waryan is one of the Bird Golf Academy’s senior West Coast instructors, and in addition to his esteemed career as a PGA professional, he has been helping students improve their golf game for over three decades.
Waryan has achieved nearly every honor he could possibly hope for as a PGA professional. He was named the Minnesota Section PGA Teacher of the Year in 2004, named the Golf Professional of the Year twice, and has been a four-time recipient of the Bill Strausbaugh award, which awards PGA professionals who have dedicated their daily lives to improving and educating other golf professionals to improve their game or employment. Craig’s teaching career spans over 35 years, continually helping golf students hone their technique and develop their mental game.
Waryan also was the 87th person to achieve “Master” status as a PGA professional. He has appeared on Golf Digest and Golf magazine’s Top 10 Teachers lists for both Wisconsin in Minnesota. His accolades illustrate his commitment to keeping the game great by educating those around him, while also being one of the game’s greats.
Craig Waryan was the 2000 PGA Senior MatchPlay Champion and the runner-up in the Wisconsin Senior Open in 2001 and 2006. His induction to the Minnesota Hall of Fame is one we are proud to announce, and a certainly deserved mark on a distinguished career.
His students carry his legacy with aplomb; many of his students have gone on to win championships of their own, with Waryan alumni donning over 30 State Championships, a National Title, and a National Runner-Up. The Bird Golf Academy, our staff, and students all congratulate Craig on his induction to the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame.
