Uncle Bob’s Self Storage to Hold Racing Simulation Challenge for Sprint Cup VIP Pit Passes
Chesapeake, VA (PRWEB) July 16, 2014 -- Racing fans will have a chance to compete for two VIP Pit Passes to the races at Richmond International Raceway on September 5th and 6th. The Grand Prize features Pit Pass level seating for both the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 and the Sprint Cup Federated Auto Parts 400, plus overnight accommodations in Richmond.
Contestants must register to compete in a racing simulator time trial and record a top-8 time to move on to the final racing event for the Grand Prize. All events will take place at the Uncle Bob’s Self Storage facility located at 517 Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake, VA 23320. All prizes are courtesy of Uncle Bob’s and AM 850 WTAR in Norfolk, VA.
Registering for a Time Trial
Contestants will compete in a life-size racing simulator. Entries can be made on a first-come-first-served basis on the website of AM 850 WTAR, a co sponsor of the event. The registration page can be found at http://wtar.com/race.
A total of 40 spots will be available for the time trials, divided between two dates. The two dates available for sign up are Saturday August 16th from 1:00pm-3:00pm (20 spots) or Saturday August 23rd from 1:00pm-3:00pm (20 spots.)
Moving On To the Final Event
Of the 40 contestants, the top eight racers will move on to the Grand Prize event, plus they’ll win general admission tickets to the Nationwide Virginia 529 College Savings 250.
Race for the Cup with Daniel Suárez
The final event will take place on Saturday August 30th at the same Uncle Bob’s in Chesapeake. Contestants will get the chance to show a pro racer what they’re made of, as K&N Pro Series star Daniel Suárez will be on hand to host the event and sign autographs. This event will be open to the general public. The eight finalists will race and the winner will take home the Grand Prize of:

September 5th at 7:30pm
-Two VIP Pit Passes to the Sprint Cup Federated Auto Parts 400
September 6th at 7:30pm
-Overnight Accommodations in Richmond
