Seccuris Inc., the North American leader in security consulting and managed services, announced that it has secured $750,000 in funding through the government of Canada’s Western Innovation (WINN) Initiative. The company will use the investment to expand the capabilities of its OneStone™ Information Assurance Portal, a cloud-based security platform that offers an integrated suite of security management services.

When safeguarding vital information, what organizations know is important, but knowing what they don’t know is crucial. OneStone helps organizations protect themselves from external and internal threats both known and unknown by providing constant and reliable Threat and Vulnerability Management, Business Risk Assessments, Asset Classification and Tracking, and much more through a reliable service that’s easy to deploy and provides immediate benefits.

Introduced in 2013 as part of Seccuris’s Managed Security Services offerings, OneStone is a proven solution that manages and monitors threats from a 24x7 Security Operations Center manned by a team of trained professionals and analysts. By outsourcing security needs through the cost-effective OneStone option, organizations can increase their security without increasing their security staff. Services provided by OneStone focus on incidents impacting an organization’s entire enterprise, not just its technology. It also provides real-time information and reporting so executives can make risk-based decisions at every level.

“In the short period since OneStone was launched, it’s been helping protect our clients across North America in a way they never thought possible,” said Geoff Besko, CEO and President of Seccuris. “With the WINN funding, we’ll expand and strengthen OneStone’s capabilities so it will continue to offer an even higher level of threat awareness and critical asset protection most organizations can’t achieve on their own.”

Developed by the government’s Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) department, the Western Innovation (WINN) Initiative supports entrepreneurs in bringing ideas into the marketplace. According to the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for WD, WINN is a vital component in the government's commitment to creating jobs, promoting economic growth, and maintaining Canada's competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
