SAE-ITC Launches Probitas Authentication, a New Auditor Authentication and Training Provider Approval Body
Warrendale, Pa. (PRWEB) July 17, 2014 -- SAE International’s Industries Technologies Consortium (ITC) announces the launch of Probitas Authentication, an Americas Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG) recognized program that will serve the aerospace quality industry by providing auditor authentication and training provider approval services. Offices and staff are located in Warrendale PA.
Probitas Authentication was created in response to a need expressed among a segment of the aerospace quality auditor population who were looking for options among organizations that could provide auditor authentication services in an efficient, responsive, and automated fashion. To that end, an entirely new online platform was developed including a website and application interface that is intuitive and provides automated feedback on auditor application status.
“What we heard from many existing aerospace quality auditors is a desire for an organization that would reliably alert them far in advance of their recertification date, then provide a user-friendly online system that would keep them informed of their status throughout the process. So we built a platform that does all this and should be very well received,” explained Kevin Perry, acting director of Probitas Authentication. The same functionality was considered to be equally important for new aerospace auditor applicants and training providers seeking approval to offer training to aerospace auditors.
Probitas Authentication is an extension of SAE International established reputation in the aerospace standards area with its AS9100 family of standards. Operating independent of SAE International, Probitas Authentication focuses primarily on new aerospace auditors seeking their initial authentication, along with the recertification process for existing auditors. Training provider and individual training course approval services are also offered.
Richard DeMary, acting deputy director of the new organization, explained, “Probitas Authentication derives its name from the Latin word ‘probity’, meaning adherence to the highest principles of honesty and integrity, which we felt were key attributes for a program of this nature.”
