Maryalyce Poole knows firsthand the difficulties of living with a mental illness.

Her new book “Walking in Hope, Living in Grace,” is an evolved autobiography that features her individual journey from disability to ability and how hope and grace influenced her successful path to recovery from bipolar disorder.

Poole, who has been a leader in the mental health recovery movement since 1985, offers spiritual guidence and support in the lives of those navigating through their own recovery.

She draws on scripture, prayers and personal hardships to write an inspiring and educational guide for readers learning to withstand the day to day trials of living with a mental illness.
