The first of our monthly Insider Threat courses will be held in Tyson's Corner on August 11th and 12th. By attending the Insider Threat Security Specialist course, attendees will learn the following.
1) Minimum standards and guidance for implementation of an Insider Threat Program.
2) How to work with a diverse group of stakeholders to develop, an appropriate Insider Threat Program.
3)Tools and methodologies to complete the assessment of an existing Insider Threat Program for weaknesses and to identify strategies to strengthen the program.
4) Identify Insider Threat risks, vulnerabilities and weaknesses within an organization, and provide actionable risk mitigation strategies to detect, deter and mitigate Insider Threats.
5) Develop, implement and support an Insider Threat Awareness and Reporting Program.
The Insider Threat Program Training Course has recently been taught to personnel supporting U.S. Government and DoD Agencies.
Now changes are coming to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) that will require Defense Industrial Base Contractors to have Insider Threat Programs.
